The "Art" of Therapy
Therapy is not primarily advice-giving or problem-solving. At its most effective, it is a finely tuned art of following a client’s inner world without overriding it. Instead of directing, the therapist tracks, reflects, and holds space as meaning slowly forms. Small moments—silence, reflection, restraint—often carry the most weight. In this relational space, clients begin to hear themselves more clearly, and change emerges not from instruction, but from sustained, uninterrupted self-exploration.
